About TC Transcontinental RBW Graphics:
This position is based at the TC Transcontinental RBW Graphics plant in Owen Sound, Ontario, which has been in operation for over 171 years. With over 400 employees, it is the largest commercial printing plant of magazines, flyers, catalogues, and directories in Canada. Owen Sound is a smaller city filled with cultural, outdoor, and recreational activities.

 

Industrial Electrician

 

Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Rotating Continental
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

 

We are currently seeking a full-time Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at our Owen Sound facility. In this role, you will be responsible to provide support on all electrical equipment with the goal of maximizing production and minimizing downtime. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting on-going problems to recommended and implement solutions on all electrical and electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

 

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
• Working knowledge of relay logic, PLC programming, integrated circuitry, and robotics
• Complete machine work orders
• Equipment modification and re-locations
• Machine electrical upgrades and changes
• Member of the Emergency Response Team
• Attend annual health and safety training, including but not limited to, WHMIS and Lockout/Tagout
• Perform related duties as required

Qualifications

• Licensed Industrial Electrician (442A)
• Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Capable of troubleshooting production equipment
• Able to effectively use standard electrical test equipment including multi meters, clamp meters, insulation testers (megohmmeter), motor circuit analysis (MCA), oscilloscope, etc.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English
• Manage time effectively and possess a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work shift work
