Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

 

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on printing presses (e.g., KBA, G800), conveyors (including mobile conveyors), robotics, and other production equipment.
  • Maintain and repair strappers, deserters, folder/stacker belt systems, and other auxiliary finishing equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on lift rite, pallet jacks, small auxiliary equipment, and boom/scissor lifts.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic issues on small equipment
  • Replace shafts, belts, and components as required, including managing belt inventory and tracking replacements.
  • Maintain and support the forklift water battery systems.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and numbering of new equipment.
  • Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities, including inventory usage, in the maintenance management system.
  • Work collaboratively with the production and operations teams to minimize downtime and support smooth plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe lifting protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Provide emergency maintenance support when required and participate in on-call rotation or off-shift coverage if needed. 

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or print production environment.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: experience with belting and mechanical repair is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems related to conveyors, strappers, boom/scissor lifts, folder/stacker systems, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document service and repair details.
  • Valid forklift license and certification in the use of scissor and/or boom lifts (required).
